Must be able to pour up impressions and you can practice at home.
It is important to know how to pour up impressions and the trick is once again take your time getting your mix right then once you do then then pour it up starting at one end and vibrating it not with a typical vibrating machine used in the office but by tapping it on your counter works just as well and keep vibrating it to the other side, popping any bubbles that come to the surface with tweezers at home unless you have an explorer it would work better, add more as needed and on the same side you started letting it flow to the other side.
Once all the teeth is filled then it is safe to pick up a good amount and place it on top of what you just filled in. Keeping in mind to not to make it flat on top to make it look good but to prevent from making it to thin on top. If it is the lower you may not need a place where the tongue is if it an Essix retainer or Bleaching tray but anything else that requires it then fold your paper towel and place it where the tongue was on the lower and then fill that up with plaster then Flip it over once filled on a cutting board or counter will clean off with water and let stand for 1 hour it will go from cold to warm to cold again and that is when you know it is done! Once you break it out and it if any voids mix up a small amount and fix it with your figure be sure to smooth it with water but not to much or you will wash out what you just fixed. Take a instrument like an explorer and clean any bumps that don't belong on model.
Model should look just like patient mouth. Clean Up take a paper towel and wipe bowl out into trash can you will not clog up your sink. If any falls on floor use spatula to clean if you let dry but better to clean while wet. Never leave to let dry at office. We work in mouths and must always be clean about it. Now have fun and label your model you made at home to learn your teeth numbers and surfaces. Color them with highlighters or nail polish! If already order bowls for alginate and spatula from Impression Lesson then all your missing is plaster! Plaster $8.99
